Face of Tiv Taraba completes audition,sets April 13th for main event.

Auditions have been concluded for the Face of Tiv Taraba pageantry scheduled to take place on the 13th of April, 2024 at the Jolly Nyame Stadium in Jalingo.
The audition was supervised by the Pageantry Guild of Nigeria, PGN Taraba state chapter, the Taraba entertainment industry and the leadership of the Face of Tiv Taraba Pageant.
Speaking to our reporter after the auditions, the PGN representative said the entertainment industry is doing a lot in the society and will need the support of well meaning individuals to be able to do more.
On her part, the CEO Face of Tiv Taraba Mrs Lucy said pageantry goes beyond the entertainment part as it goes further to revive the ailing cultures of various ethnicities around the country.
“So many people know very little about their culture and that is quite unfortunate. So with this cultural pageantry, we hope to raise queens who will advocate for the culture. For us Africans cultures define us and it is our heritage so we must do what we can to preserve our culture especially in this time that culture is been relegated to the background” She said.
Also speaking, one of the judges Barr Jime Yongo expressed satisfaction with the organization of the exercise stating that such cultural activities serves as links to other people’s culture and way of life thereby enhancing unity among people.
While giving the closing remarks, CEO Of Worldview Publications Mr Williams Ayooso applauded the leadership of the entertainment industry for their good work.
Williams who lamented that a state like Taraba is already divided along so many lines advised that such entertainment activities must be given a chance to thrive so that it can bring more people together.
