DSK votes at country home, charges Tarabans on peaceful election.

An APC Chieftain and former Governorship aspirant of the APC, Chief David Sabo Kente has called on the Taraba electorate to observe a peaceful election process, even as he commended the large turn up in his polling unit.

Chief Sabo Kente stated this soon after casting his votes in the ongoing Governorship and House of Assembly elections in his pulling unit at Kente village, of Wukari LGA of Taraba State. Chief Kente, who arrived at the unit at about 9 30 am was accompanied by his wife and party loyalists.
Among other prominent personalities who cast their votes in the polling unit is Hon. Josiah Sabo Kente, a PDP chieftain and former Speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly.
Chief David Sabo Kente, popularly known as DSK, told journalists that the voting was transparent and turn up impressive.
‘My pulling unit has a large turnout this time, compared to the presidential and national elections when the turnup was very low. The Bvars system is more effective this time, compared to the previous election when there was complains, here and there.
‘As you can see, within minutes, I’m done with voting. Therefore, I can say that INEC has improved generally on the process of the election compared to what happened in the previous election.
DSK, who was a keen contestant in the governorship race under the platform of the APC, but lost out in a controversial primary election, described his experience as a normal phenomenon in every contest situation.
‘In a race, winners ultimately must emerge. We started many of us. Some dropped along the way, few have scaled through and these are people we are voting for today. But it has been a very hectic exercise. Over one and half years now, I have been involved in this process and by the grace of God, we have come to the end of it all, with election taking place.’
He told journalists.
DSK called on the people of Taraba state to ensure that the process is peaceful and transparent, adding that it is when winners emerge through a genuine democratic process that they are accepted by the people.
To the PDP chieftain Josiah Kente, the election process signifies hope for a better Taraba State. The former Speaker, who expressed confidence in his party’s victory at the polls, described the election as another opportunity for an emerging leadership of his party, PDP, to reposition Taraba into a state of the peoples aspiration.
He also commended the peaceful election process, large turn up in his pulling unit, as well as efficient voting process put together by INEC.
‘It took me less than three minutes to complete my voting process, from my screening, accreditation and Bvars capture, to casting my ballot. It was very easy and stress free.’ He stated.
