Court sacks APC guber candidate in Taraba, orders fresh election

A Federal High court sitting in Jalingo the Taraba State Capital, Tuesday dismissed the Taraba State gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 general elections, Distinguished Senator Emmanuel Bwacha and ordered for a fresh election within 14 days.
Delivering judgement in a suit filed by Chief David Sabo Kente, one of the governorship aspirants, Justice Simon Amobeda dismissed the Guber Candidate and directed that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), should conduct a fresh governorship primary in the state within 14 days.
The court further stopped Senator Emmanuel Bwacha from parading himself as the governorship candidate of the APC and directed that INEC should equally stopped recognizing him as a candidate in the 2023 General Elections.
Recalled that Chief David Sabo Kente had in May, 2022 drew the gubernatorial candidate of APC in Taraba, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha and INEC before the court alleging that there was no Primary Election of the Party conducted anywhere in the state.
