COMMISSIONER LAUDS TARABANS FOR GIVING PDP ANOTHER CHANCE IN TARABA

Ahead of the May 29 swearing-in ceremony of the new administration, the Taraba State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Irimiya Ibrahim Hammanjulde has commended the people of Taraba State especially the people of Lau, his Local Government Area, for given maximum support to the Peoples Democratic Party PDP and the incoming governor of the State, Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas (Rtd) in the just concluded elections.

The Commissioner gave this commendation during the swearing-in ceremony of some appointed councilors in Lau, the administrative headquarter of Lau Local Government Area of Taraba State.

The Commissioner who served as a special guest of honour at the occasion appreciated the effort of the people of Lau Local Government for coming out en mass and overwhelmingly voting for PDP in all the elections at the just concluded general elections across the country.

He urged the people of the area to extend the same support given to Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku whom they elected twice to the newly elected Governor, Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas (Rtd), the Senator elect, Reps, and State House of Assembly members pointing out that the Governor Elect was a young man with different potentials and would not let them down.

“I believe in the capability of the governor elect and I want to assure you of greater success from the incoming government”. He added.

The Commissioner, tasked the newly inaugurated councillors on delivering impactful grassroot governance and charged them to continue to work in harmony for the progress of the Local Government area, emphasizing that it was only when they work in unity that their subjects would experience more dividends of democracy.

Also speaking at the occasion, the chairman, caretaker Committee, Lau Local Government Council, Hon. Nigeria Ezra Jatau, thanks the Commissioner for finding time out of his tight schedules to graced the occasion.

He appreciated the contribution of the Commissioner in the development of Lau Local Government and the State in general.

“It is worthy of note that, Hon. Commissioner was one time a chairman caretaker Committee and a member State House of Assembly for this Local Government, in which under his leadership he worked assiduously in postering unity and tolerance among our people irrespective of our religion or ethnic background.

“This gestures has endeared him to so many of us, his supporters, more than any other politician in the entire Lau Local Government Area. Our prayers for him is that God should reward his selfless service, resilient attitude and grant him higher positions to enable him serve his people even better”. He said.

The Chairman, who addressed the Commissioner as his boss, stated that the Commissioner for works had left a legacy for the up coming politicians to emulate because he finished his tenures well with all the people irrespective of their different backgrounds and affiliations.

He further appreciated the Executive Governor of Taraba State Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku and Hon. Irimiya Ibrahim Hammanjulde as well as other leaders of the state for finding him Worthy to serve in such capacity at the Local Government Council.

Meanwhile, Hon. Lazarus Urbanus, Councillor representing Mayo Lope ward and leader of the council who responded on behalf of the other councillors shortly after the swearing-in, commended the Executive Governor of Taraba State, Arch. Darius Dickson Ishaku for the good works his administration was doing in the state and pledged their unalloyed support to the incoming government led by Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas (Rtd), to enable him to also succeed.

The Leader of the Council further applauded the Commissioner of works for his selfless efforts towards the development of Lau Local Government Area and prayed God to protect and blessed him abundantly.

Recall that, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), won all the seats contested in Lau Local Government Council at the just concluded general elections.
