CHAIRMAN TARABA INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE HOSTS CITN INVESTITURE PROGRAMME.

The Executive Chairman Taraba State Internal Revenue Service, Brig. Gen. Jeremiah Aliyu Faransa (Rtd) on Monday hosted the Investiture of the 2nd Chairman of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) Jalingo and District Society, Mr. Luka Joel Maza,FCTI.
At the event which took place at the Blue Nile Suite Jalingo, Members of the District’s Executive Committee for 2024-2026 were also inaugurated.
Giving a keynote address, Gen. Faransa said His Excellency, the Governor of Taraba state Dr. Agbu Kefas is a transformative leader whose policies and Programmes are impacting positively in the lives of all Tarabans.
He charged the CITN members to uphold the ethics of their profession and provide technical advice and support that would lead to an increase in revenue generation.
According to him, this will help the government provide more infrastructures, agricultural reforms, quality health care services, etc that would better the lives of the masses.
In his address, the 16th National President/Chairman of the CITN, Mr. Samuel Agbeluyi commended Dr. Kefas for appointing professionals as Board members in the TIRS. He described their appointments as a square peg in a square hole.
Earlier, the national and state executive of the CITN paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Executive Chairman TIRS.
Highlight of the investiture programme included award presentations, cultural dance, Goodwill messages, and investiture lecture on the topic “Enhancing Revenue Collection Efficiency to Reduce Fiscal Dependency of Taraba State”.
