Bali goes agog as eminent personalities throng in over Jubilee celebration

Bali town, the administrative headquarters of Bali Local Government Area, Taraba State, on Thursday, continue to witness unprecedented number of persons, especially illustrious sons and daughters of Tiv origin, thronging into the ancient town for the celebration of Silver Jubilee of the Tiv community of the LGA
The event which is slated to commence on Thursday, 28th November, 2024 is expected to continue with build up activities and climaxed on Saturday, 30th November, 2024 with conferment of traditional titles by the Tiv traditional council, Bali LGA Taraba State to distinguished personalities .
Also expected at the climax of the occasion is the presentation of award to the Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas as well as several other illustrious sons and daughters of the state.
The event will witness the crowning of Face of Tiv Taraba, known as Kumashe U Tiv and the introduction of Bantu leaders by the President General of Tiv Cultural and Social Association, Taraba State among others.
A statement released by the Central Planning Committee CPC indicates that the event would be opened with Tiv traditional dances of different styles, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the Tiv community in the state.
“There shall be a thanksgiving massage with the theme, “exploring the frontier of peace and security by the Tiv people in Taraba State, which shall be taken by Very Reverend father Simon Akuraga as well as paper presentations on different topics on the second day.
“Eminent personalities including the Governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas, top political demagogues in the state, national Assembly/State Assembly Members, traditional and religious leaders are all expected to grace the Silver Jubilee celebration.
“On our part as the CPC, we have done the best by putting together series of events including different performances and presentations to thrill our guests and give them a very good relaxation backed with inspirations. It is really going to be a memorable and thrilling moment of joy and excitement”. the statement reads in part”.
