Aku Uka condemns killing of federal university student.

The Aku Uka of Wukari, His Majesty, Manu Ishaku Adda Ali Matakhitswen has condemned in strong terms the tragic and senseless killing of a young 200 Level student, Bro. Mark-Hopkins Sagarga Gargea of Biological Sciences Department of Federal University Wukari on 16th June, 2023.
This was contained in a press released signed by the SA Media to the Aku Uka, Jolly Agbu Masa-Ibi.
Aku Uka who described the young student as full of promises and aspirations, said the loss of any young life is a tragedy, and this incident has robbed us of a bright future leader.
He called upon the relevant law enforcement agencies to swiftly investigate this heinous act and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
“Such acts of violence have no place in our community or any civilized society, and everyone must work together to ensure the safety and security of our citizens, especially our young people.
“Community members must remain calm and peaceful during this period of mourning and everyone should come together to offer solace to the grieving family” he said.
The Aku implored the youth to channel their emotions into positive action while advocating for engagement in open dialogue, education, and awareness campaigns to foster a culture of peace, respect, and tolerance.
He also called on all stakeholders, including educational institutions, community leaders, and government authorities, to prioritize the safety and well-being of young people.
The monarch expressed his deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, stressing that he stands in solidarity with them in this trying time while praying that the soul of the departed find eternal rest.
It was gathered that the deceased is the son of the Head Pastor of CRCN Centre Church in Jalingo.
