Durkwa Reaffirms Commitment to Adamawa, Calls for Unity and Disciplined Progress in 2026

Dr. Ishaya Inuwa Durkwa has reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Adamawa State and Nigeria, calling on citizens to embrace unity, disciplined progress, and inclusive development as the new year begins.
In a New Year message released on Wednesday, Dr. Durkwa expressed gratitude to God for the experiences of 2025, describing the year as one that tested and strengthened the resilience, faith, and determination of the people.
“As we step into the new year, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to the Almighty God for the lessons, triumphs, and challenges of 2025,” he said, noting that the period underscored the importance of perseverance and collective resolve.
Looking ahead to 2026, Dr. Durkwa emphasized his continued dedication to the progress of Adamawa State and the nation at large.
While acknowledging the efforts of the current administration, he said there remains significant potential for improved governance, peace, and sustainable development.
He stressed that leadership must be anchored in discipline, service, and empathy, adding that Adamawa’s future should be built on continuity and inclusive growth that leaves no segment of society behind.
“As a leader shaped by discipline and service, I believe in the potential of our people and the importance of building on existing achievements. My passion is to serve, to listen, and to craft policies that directly respond to the needs of our people.”he said.
Dr. Durkwa also called on residents of Adamawa to actively participate in shaping the future of the state, urging collaboration and shared responsibility in the pursuit of peace and development.
“I urge all Adamawans to join me in embracing a future defined by disciplined progress, peace, and development. Together, we can build a brighter tomorrow for ourselves, our children, and our great nation.” he said
He wished citizens a prosperous 2026 and prayed for divine blessings on the state and the country entirely.
