Nigeria @65: Madakin Muri calls for National unity, peace-prayers

The Madakin Muri, Dr. Inuwa Bakari Jalingo has called on Nigerian citizens/ Leaders to intensify prayers and demonstrate more commitment to National unity, peace peace-building and good governance.

He made the call in his goodwill message to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary celebration.

Dr Inuwa maintained that National unity, and peace and prayers are critical for the progress and development of Nigeria.

Inuwa who reflected deeply on Nigeria’s history said, the Country has faced so many challenges over years so,there is need to pray for leaders at all levels and equally support the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) for economic growth and national development.

“Today, I reflect deeply not just on the years of our journey as a nation but also,on the enduring sacrifices of fellow citizens and our fallen heroes who paid the supreme price for our freedom.

“We are one people, one nation regardless of our tribal, religious and political affiliations therefore, there is need to prioritize national unity and peaceful coexistence for more progress and development.

“As we mark this great age in our history and democratic journey, I enjoin citizens to intensify prayers and our Leaders across board to remain focus on groundbreaking initiatives and policies that foster National unity, peace, inclusivity, good governance and sustainable development.

He however prayed that this diamond jubilee of Nigeria may inspire positive change and renewed commitment hoping that the visions of Nigerian Leaders continue to light the path for the Country and Africa at large.

“I also pray for quick recovery for our father and Leader the Emir of Muri, His Royal Highness, Abbas Njidda Tafida, OFR. Emir of Muri. equally,i pray Allah to guide our Governor His Excellency , Dr Agbu Kefas and our President His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to steer the leadership of our State and Country, not forgetting my able Council Chairman, Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan. “
