Taraba Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) has opened Bid for the Bobboji storm water and flood project.
The session which took place at the ACReSAL Secretariat in Jalingo today,drew prospective Bidders including;RSA Global Int’l Ltd, Bozeal Ltd, ZHONGHAO Oversea Construction and Engineering Company Ltd, Infrastructure Ltd, Havage Farabin, CGC Nig Ltd, Stefanutti Stock Hapel, OBTUSE Tec Engineering and Const. Ltd, ZEKA Global Company Ltd and ASSASCO Nig Ltd, respectively.
Declaring the session open,the Honorable Commissioner of Environment and Climate change who doubles as the ACReSAL steering Committee Chairperson, Hajia Aisha T. Barde, disclosed that the Project is a World Bank assisted one stressing that,Bobboji community has suffered over the years from environmental challenges including flood and storm water hence the timely intervention.
She stated that the bid aimed at addressing those environmental challenges thereby creating a healthy environment for inhabitants of the community.
Hon.Aisha however, assured prospective Bidders and members of the general public of transparency, accountability and fairness.
“We thank God that the Bidding session was successfully conducted. After evaluation, the winner will be announced and he/she will be contracted to execute the project, “she stated.
Alh. Dahiru Umar,a member of the ACReSAL Team who spoke on behalf of the Project Coordinator, appreciated the prospective Bidders for proper conduct and participation and further assured them of their commitment to upholding transparency and fairness in the entire process.
In their remarks, Lucas K. and other participants, appreciated ACReSAL Project for giving them the opportunity to participate in the process maintaining that, they were satisfied with the level of transparency and fairness demonstrated.
