COVID 19: CACOVID DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO 26,000 HOUSEHOLDS IN TARABA.

The Coalition Against Covid-19, CACOVID had on Tuesday donated food items to the Taraba State Government for straight on distribution to 26,000 households across the state.

According to CACOVID, the food items worth millions of naira was provided from the sum gathered by the body from the organize private sector to assist state governments who would in turn ease the suffering of its people caused by the pandemic.

The food items were handed over to the State Government by Joseph Makoji who stood in for the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
He said that the palliatives donated by CACOVID is to help the vulnerable in the state. In his words, “the palliatives are to help 26,000 households in the state and they include, 26,000 bags of rice, noodles, pasta, and salt among others”.

Gov Ishaku who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Istifanus Gbana, appreciated the organized private sector for the donations made and also explained that the donation is an addition to what the State Government has been doing for vulnerable since the pandemic started.

Gbana also said that the State Government has recorded great achievement in the fight against the Corona virus and assured that the palliatives will be given to the vulnerable as planned.

The Commissioner of Health Dr Innocent Vakkai also thanked the sector for the palliatives on behalf of the Technical Committee and assured that the distribution will be done accordingly and as soon as possible.
