Yandang Youths passes vote of no confidence on Hon. Danladi, call for his removal.

From Daniel Mtindiga

The Yandang Youth Development Congress (YYDC) has passed a vote of no confidence on the Treasurer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Taraba state chapter, Honorable Danladi Ahmadu (Soke) and called for his immediate removal from his present position and any other position of influence within the party.

In a press briefing with newsmen in Jalingo today, the Yandang youth maintained that, Honorable Danladi Ahmadu has continually used his political office to work against the interest of their members despite their unwavering support and loyalty to the PDP in the state and Nigeria at large.

They expressed deep disappointment with the conduct of the party chieftain noting that, his actions are a threat to their group and as well, the unity and progress of Taraba state adding that, they cannot stand by and watch him continue acting in ways that harm both their community and the PDP as a whole.

“Compelling the PDP Loyal Group to issue Hon. Dallas Edward suspension letter is unconstitutional, undemocratic, uncivil and a direct assault on the Yandang people and democratic principles.

“We have gotten information through the backdoorthat Hon. Danladi has directed the PDP ward chairman of Donnada, Mr. Ayuba Nasamu to issue yet another suspension letter to Hon. Dallas Edward for his personal interest.

“His action is not just a gross misconduct but an outright abuse of power. It reeks of political desperation, showing Hon. Soke Danladi Ahmadu’s willingness to ruin the reputation of anyone standing in his way. His misuse of position to settle personal scores sets a dangerous precedent to the Yandang Youths in Taraba state.

“He has not only undermined the PDP’S constitution but has also, violated the Nigeria’s constitution by targeting an individual, Hon. Dallas Edward for personal reasons that have no connection to the PDP or PDP 100% Loyal Group.

“In light of these concerns, we the Yandang Youths are calling for the immediate removal of Hon. Danladi Ahmadu from any position of influence within the PDP. His actions are a threat to the unity of the party and the progress of Taraba state.

“The losses suffered by the PDP in both the governorship and senatorial elections within his ward is a clear reflection of his inability to lead or rally the people he claims to represent. It is evident that his interest lies elsewhere and not with the well-being of the Yandang people.

“We cannot stand by while someone in his position continue to act in ways that harm both our community and the PDP as a whole.

“We wish to express our deep disappointment with the conduct of Hon. Danladi Ahmadu also known as Soke, who has continually used his political office to work against the interest our people. Despite the unwavering loyalty the Yandang people have consistently shown to the PDP, Hon. Ahmadu has chosen a path of division, undermining both the progress of our community and the unity of the party,” the group stated.

They pointed that they have been over the years, a reliable backbone of the PDP’s success in Taraba state both in voting and support towards the party’s agenda adding that, it has however become clear that, Hon. Ahmadu no longer share in their vision for collective progress.

“For years, the Yandang people have been a reliable backbone of the PDP’s success in Taraba state, voting in mass and supporting the party’s agenda but however, it has become increasingly clear that Hon. Ahmadu no longer share in our vision for collective progress.

“His opposition to the candidacy of Gov. Agbu Kefas during the 2023 general elections was not only a betrayal of the PDP’s democratic process but also, a blatant rejection of the hopes and aspirations of the Yandang community.

The group however, expressed confidence in the PDP and her leadership stating that it is a party that stands for unity, development as well as the shared progress of all people regardless of ethnicity, religion or background while, reiterating their commitments to supporting Gov. Agbu Kefas and the party’s vision for a stronger and more united Taraba.

“Let us remain focus on the task ahead, united in our resolve to build a better future for all. We refuse to allow selfish actions of a few to derail the tremendous progress we have made. We remain committed to supporting Gov. Kefas and the PDP’s vision for a stronger and more united Taraba. Our loyalty to the PDP is unwavering but we will continue to stand for what is right.”
