Hardship: Group shares food items to members in Taraba

The Mzough U Tiv students, faculty of Health Sciences Taraba State University, Jalingo has taken delivery of assorted food items to indigent students to cushion the hardship that has affected almost everyone in no small measure across the country.
The event took place today the 10th of August,2024 at Duvet Glitters Jalingo, Taraba State.
The President of the Forum Registered Nurse Godwin Iortom disclosed that, the aims of the forum are to promote culture among Tiv students, render assistance where necessary as well as encourage Academic excellence and campus political participation.
He maintained that, the food delivery project was to assist indigent students with food items to ameliorate the hardship.
“As part of our aims, we have embarked on the project of food and non food delivery to students especially those who are affected by the lingering communal crises between the Tiv /Jukun in Southern Taraba and other parts of the state which has displaced many from their ancestral homes, “the president stated
On their parts, beneficiaries in their separate remarks, thanked the leadership and Members of the association for their genrousity and prayed God to strengthen them in all capacities to be able to reach out to other people too.
“We are honored and grateful to be among the beneficiaries of the generosity of this association and we pray that, God Almighty would replenish them in a hundred fold,” the beneficiaries stated
Comr. Anyom Solomon who witnessed the event, expressed gratitude to the association for the vibrant initiative and urged them to keep up the good work.
“I am delighted to witness this milestone event and I encourage the leadership of the association to keep up the good work they are doing for the common good of members and society by extension,” Comrade Anyom stated.
The vice president in his remarks, thanked God for seeing them through the project. He equally appreciated members for diligently supporting the project to the end adding that, it is a demonstration of love and solidarity.
“I thanked God for giving us the strength to accomplish the project regardless of the emerging challenges.
“I also thanked everyone who has contributed to the success of this project and I charge you all to continue collaborating with us for the other events that would be unfolding as time progresses,” Mhembaga Israel Shahemen said.
