Commissioners express confidence over secured future of Taraba State children

The Commissioner, Ministry of Special Duties and Humanitarian Services, Hon Saviour Badzoilig Noku and the Commissioner for Social Justice and Re-Integration, Taraba State, Hon Filister Irarimam Musa, have expressed confidence in the secured future of Taraba children
The commissioners were speaking at the graduation, Speech and Prize given ceremony organized by the management and staff of Devine Favour International Academy Jalingo, last Wednesday
Hon Saviour Badzoilig Noku, in his remark at the occasion, noted that investing in children was simply an investment in ‘human capital.’
Noku appreciated the executive governor of Taraba State, Dr Agbu Kefas for declaring free education for the children of the state and for slashing by half, school fees of students in the state’s tertiary institutions, stating that no child in Taraba has any reason not to be educated again
He advised parents to ensure that their children make the most use of the kind gesture demostrated by the governor in order to safe guard the furture of Taraba State in particular and the entire country in general
“The huge burden of upbringing of children which is always aggravated by payment of their school fees, has been lifted by the Executive Governor of the state, Dr Agbu Kefas, through the free Education policy and reduction of school fees paid at tertiary institutions in the state. So parents should send their children to school and not obsruct the bright future of our children”. He added.
The commissioner congratulated the graduating students and advised them not to relax on the feat they had attained but consider it as the beginning of their academic journey and braize up to do even better in the next stage of their academic career
On her part, Hon Filister Irarimam Musa, Commissioner for Social Justice and Re-Integration, encouraged the management and staff of Devine Favour International Academy, to keep up the good work they are doing towards securing the future of the country through the children.
The Commissioner urged parents to consider education of children as a priority and never relent on their efforts towards ensuring that they do well in their studies
Hon Filister who lauded the Executive Governor of Taraba State for investing so much in the educational sector of the state, charged parents never to allow their children remain on Streets of the state, even as she congratulated the graduating students and urged them to be good ambassadors of their school and the state any where they find themselves
Earlier in a goodwill message at the occasion, Engr Michael Malo, project manager, Stand for Counter Trafficking in persons (SCT), advocated for esterblishment of Counter Trafficking In Person Commission in Taraba State, to effectively operates in the area of preventing child trafficking and prosecution of culprits involved in trafficking business in order to safe guard the future of children in Schools
Our reporter gathered that the anual event of the school which attracted many dignitaries, witnessed different presentations, including speeches, cultural dances, launching of the school magazine and presentation of prizes to deserving students among others.
