Zumunta Association USA INC in collaboration with WOVAIDE provides succor to the less privilege in Taraba

A United State of America humanitarian based association, fondly called Zumunta Association USA INC  in collaboration with Women of Valour Initiative for Development and Empowerment (WOVAIDE) Taraba State, Friday, donated relief items to alleviate the sufferings of some less privileged persons in Taraba State.

The items presented to the beneficiaries include wheel chairs, sewing machines, bags of rice (3 1/2 kg), packets of seasoning maggi, pressure cooker and kegs of palm oil.

Board of Trustee members, WOVAIDE and invited guests watch with excitement how beneficiaries of wheel chairs test run the new wheel chairs presented to them.

Presenting the items to the beneficiaries on behalf of the association at the Taraba State Secretariat of National Union of Teachers NUT Jalingo, Mrs Sarah David Ibi said the gesture was to lesson the economic hardship of the beneficiaries who are obviously going through rough patch as a result of the economic situation facing the country.

Mrs Sarah who is a Member, Board of Trustee, WOVAIDE Taraba State, noted that the beneficiaries were selected randomly, devoid of any form of sentiment or preferential treatment.

She encouraged the beneficiaries to make the maximum use of the items by creating a chain through which many other persons could also benefit from the same items given to them.

Mrs. Sarah regret that the association had lost a committed member, Late Mr. Christopher Adams and prayed God to comfort the family and grant his repose eternal rest.

Earlier in her goodwill message, the President, National Council for Women Societies NCWS, Taraba State Chapter, Mrs Punariman Daniel Atenji said she was touched by the kind gesture demonstrated by the associations and tasked all the beneficiaries to continue to pray for the family of Late Christopher Adams so that God will take charge of the family.

In his comment, the Deputy Chairman, Board of Trustee WOVAIDE, Prof. Etemi Joshua Garba, congratulated the beneficiaries and encouraged them not to take the opportunity for granted but extend the good gesture to their relatives through a chain process.

While interacting with our reporter shortly after receiving their items, Mr. Fidelis Akaayaa who recieved a wheel chair and Mariam Emos a beneficiary of a bag of rice, seasoning maggi and a keg of palm oil as well as Miss Hanatu Adams, who was given a sewing machine, all said they were overwhelmed with joy for the love shown them by the associations in their pitiable conditions.

The beneficiaries who pledged to make the most use of the items, prayed God to upon more windows of blessings for the associations, so that they would extend the love hands to other persons of their class.

Meanwhile, the session observed a minute silence in honour of the death of a member of Zumunta Association who is an  indigene of Taraba State, Late Mr. Christopher Adams.
