Even at the general elections, my victory Will be my people’s victory – Hon Audu assures constituents.

An aspirant for the seat of the Member House of Representatives, representing Lau Ardokola and Karim Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Hon. Audu Mohammed has assured the good people of his constituency that he would remain at their service even if he wins at the general elections comes 2023.

He made the pledge shortly after he was declared Winner at the People’s Democratic Party’s Primary election conducted for the seat at the Legislative Chamber of Lau Local Government Council.

Hon. Audu stated that the overwhelming number of votes cast in his favour to enable him win at the PDP Primary election was an indication that his people have invested so much trust in him and so he would not take the opportunity forgranted.

” I most sincerely appreciate the Executive Governor of Taraba State Arc Darius Dickson Ishaku who is the leader of our great party in the state, I appreciate all the political leaders in the state particularly those in my constituency for creating an enabling environment for this credible, free and fair election that led to my emergence as the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives Seat of Ardokola, Lau and Karim Lamido Constituency.

” I want to assure the good people of my constituency that my victory is theirs and even if I win at the general elections, the victory will forever remain theirs.

“This is because I will run an all inclusive representation where by everybody will contribute his or her own quoter towards building our constituency. Together we will create an enabling environment to give each and everybody a sense of belonging irrespective of his or her tribe, religion or class.

” If I finally emerged, I will ensure that I unite all the people of the area so that, together we will take our constituency to an enviable height”. He remarked.

Hon. Audu who was visually overwhelmed with joy noted that, if he wins at the general elections, he would become the first person in Ardokola Local Government Area to occupy the seat of the House of Representatives in the constituency since the return of democracy in Nigeria.

He appreciated the electorates who turned up in mass to vote for him overwhelmingly and pledged that he would continue to work hand in hand with the political leaders in the constituency to improve the general well being of the people in the area.

Meanwhile, Hon. Audu Mohammed who hails from Sunkani Area of Ardokola Local Government, defeated three aspirants with a wide margin to emerge the PDP candidate for the House of Representatives Seat.

Announcing the result at the Legislative Chamber of Lau Local Government Council, the Returning Officer, Associate Professor Ejika Sambo said the total vote accredited was 96 but only 95 votes that were cast with one vote declared invalid.

He announced that out of the 94 votes effectively cast, Hon. Audu Mohammed pulled 52 votes. His closest rival, Hon. Charles Maijankai scored 21 votes, Oliver Suleiman 17 votes while Balanke Jediel came last with only 4 votes respectively.
