CP Joseph Eribo assumes office as 27th Commissioner in Taraba

CP Joseph Eribo Psc has assumed office as the new Commissioner of Police in Taraba State. Before his deployments to Taraba State Police Command, CP Joseph Eribo who hails from Oredo LGA of Edo State, was the Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations at Kogi State Police Command Lokoja.
The Commissioner of Police has become the 27th Commissioner to serve at the Taraba State Police Command since its creation on 27th August 1991.
Speaking at the Command Headquarters in Jalingo on assumption of office, CP Joseph Eribo Psc called on the people of Taraba State to support the Command and cooperate with him at all times in fighting crime and criminality in the state.
He assured Tarabans that the Command under his stewardship would remain resolute in tackling all forms of crimes in order to boost public safety and security in the state.
The Commissioner had after successful completion of Secondary School at Edo Boys High School in Benin City, proceeded to University of Benin where he obtained a B.A. (HONS). He also holds a Bachelor of Law degree (LLB), from the University of Calabar, Barrister in Law (BL) Law School Abuja Campus, and Master Degree in Law(LLM), Lagos State University. He was appointed Cadet Assistant Supretendant of Police on the 25th of June, 1994.
He has served variously in multiple units and departments in the Force including PA to many Cps and AIGs, O/C Anti-Fraud CID Abuja, DPO Central Police Station Abuja, Liaison Officer, Police Service Commission Abuja.
CP Joseph Eribo was an Assistant Police Commissioner, Federal Operations FHQ Abuja, Area Commander Area ‘M’ Lagos, Lagos State Police Command, Area Commander Area ‘F’ Lagos, Lagos State Police Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police SCID Lafiya, Nasarawa State Command, Area Commander Agodi Ibadan, Oyo State Command and Deputy Commissioner of Police CID Zone 9 Umuahia, Abia State.
The Taraba State new Commissioner of Police, attended many courses in the Force both at home and abroad, including Detective Course, Staff College Jos, Higher Result-oriented Management Course; The Administrative Staff College of Nigeria TOPO Badagry Lagos (ASCON).
He also attended Senior Leadership Command Course Police Staff College Jos, Investigation of Small Arms and Explosives (ILEA) Budapest-Hungary as well as Securing Elections, Police Academy Cairo Egypt.
CP Joseph Eribo is a fellow of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and he loves Table Tennis, Watching Soccer, Reading Biographies, walking, and Gardening. He is happily married with children.
