PDP sets to receive decampees in Taraba

The Taraba State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP has said that it would soon start receiving its members who had earlier decamped to other parties as well as members from other political parties who are now convinced that PDP is the only party that can protect the interest of the people of Taraba State.
The state chairman of the Party, Alh Abubarkar Bawa, stated this while receiving the management and staff of Worldview Magazine who paid him a courtesy call in his office
Alh Bawa stated that since he became the state chairman of the party, a lot of people across the state had been calling to tell him that they want to return back home.
“Very soon, we will start receiving decampees from other parties. Because since I became the state chairman of the party, alot of people have been calling me that they want to come back home. It will also interest you to know that some of them are not decampees but returnees. Our party remain resolute and committed to producing leaders that will move Taraba forward and we are always ready to receive anybody who wants to join us in the course”. He stated.
While appreciating the people of Taraba state for giving his party yet another chance to govern the state, the chairman reassured Tarabans that the Executive Governor of the state, Dr Agbu Kefas would perfom credibly well and called on people to give him maximum support.
Bawa appreciated Worldview Magazine team for their objective reportage and their official visit to his office and pledged that the party would continue to collaborate with them in the service of the state.
He charged reporters of the media house to remain constructive and not destructive in their criticism of the people in power so as to encourage them, adding that his doors were opened for such constructive criticisms.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of Worldview Magazine, Mr Williams Ayooso who led the delegation said they were at the chairman’s office to felicitate with him and seek cooperation with his office and the state in general to enable the media organization operates effectively in the discharge of its media functions in the state.
Mr Williams applauded the chairman’s consistency in the PDP, his loyalty, humility and dexterity in the party, noting that such virtues which would remain indelible, were things that endeared the media organization to him.
“When people are decamping to other political parties, Alh Bawa is busy trying to see how to build the party. When people are fighting for juicy positions, he is busy working for the interest of PDP
“We appreciate you and want to assure you that as a media house, we will continue with our role of providing direction for leadership but if there is anywhere to criticize, we will do it constructively”. He stated
Also in their separate comments, the Group Managing Editor, Mr Simon Ira Mayaki and the Editor of the Magazine, Mr Jethro Yerga all applauded the vitues of the chairman, congratulating him for his new office with a pledg that they would work in synergy with him in the service of the state.
