2023: Hon. Eka Ali pledges equity, justice for constituents

A political demagogue from Kumbo, Gidin Dutse ward of Donga Local Government Area, Taraba State, Hon. Eka Yakubu Ali has pledged to restore justice and equity in Donga Local Government Area if elected as a member in the Taraba State House of Assembly in the 2023 general elections.
Hon. Eka made this pledge shortly after taken the Indication of Interest and Nomination form at the Taraba State All Progressive Congress’ office in Jalingo, the Taraba State Capital.
Eka who spoke with our reporter in Jalingo through phone call stated that so many issues had cropped up in the constituency owing to lack of injustice and fair play orchestrated by the ruling opposition party, the PDP in the state.
In his words, “the first thing I must do by the grace of God for my constituency is to ensure that there is equity and justice among all the people. This is because where there is justice and equity, peace prevails.
“I have been into this contest since 2003 and each time, I come from the opposition party. I contested in 2003 under the platform of the All People’s Party (APP). In 2007, I contested under the platform of Action Congress (AC) and in 2011; I contested under the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
“In all these elections, people who witnessed the elections will attest that I was suppressed by the government in power against the wish of my people. I want to tell you that this time around the story is going to be different as my people have now unanimously agreed that I should take the shut”. He narrated.
Eka who said he had already endeared himself into the heart of his people owing to the numerous impacts he had made for the development of the area, encouraged his supporters to brace up and remain steadfast as the game had just begun.
While interacting with our reporter shortly after purchasing the Indication of Interest and Nomination Form, Hon. Eka’s wife, Mrs. Victoria Yakubu Ali who picked the form on his behalf, described her husband as a dedicated, transparent and committed person who is determine to transform the fortune of the constituency.
She noted that Hon. Ali’s generosity and good conscience is far beyond his equals who are admiring the position, adding that if elected, he would surely tackle the issues of insecurity and indiscriminate killings in the area.
Speaking earlier, the Director General of Hon. Eka Campaign Organization. Mr. Tanko Daniel who accompanied Hon. Ali’s wife to pick the form said Hon. Ali is a very experience politician in the area having contested for the post for several times.
He stated that Hon. Ali’s chances of clinching the seat is very wide as the people in the area had realize their mistakes and had decided that they would support him to take the seat to enable him serve them better.
According to him, Hon. Ali had touched the lives of many people in the area even as he had not hold any political position, through supply of clothes and other valuables to the needy among several other developmental projects.
He said the people had decided that he would do better for them if elected into the position.
